How Ticketmaster Plans to Check Your Vaccine Status for Concerts

Most music fans are anxious for live music to return, but according to a new report from “Billboard” going to a concert may require fans to share some medical history.

The magazine reports that Ticketmaster is working on a way to require concertgoers to provide proof that they are either vaccinated for the coronavirus, or that they tested negative for the virus between 24 to 72 hours before they are allowed to attend a show.

Details of the plan are still being worked out but they’ll reportedly use third-party health apps and independent labs, with the data being sent to Ticketmster in a secure manner, with the ticket company not having any access to concertgoers’ actual medical records.

So far there’s no word on how long Ticketmaster will require such proof, and what they’ll do should a concertgoer have a ticket and not meet the requirements to attend.
