Mini Boom explodes on the scene with his star-studded debut album.

On Friday, June 14, the young hitmaker, who's also the son of filmmaker Benny Boom, dropped his first studio album Detonate independently. His 11-track LP begins with commentary from DJ Akademiks, who discovered the young producer for himself on the day Rick Ross dropped "Champagne Moments." Rozay also boasts about his production skills on the intro. Boom's album continues with stand-out collaborations with The Game, DJ Drama, Dave East, Conway The Machine, Billy B, Fivio Foreign, Nems, Dex Lauper, B-Lovee and more. The teenage artist closes out the LP with fire bars from Big Pilot on the outro, "GO IN."

"Super excited to let the world hear what Mini Boom put together," Benny Boom tells iHeartRadio. "The 16-year-old producer of Rick Ross' 'Champagne Moments' has produced 11 Hip-Hop bangers! Ready to take over the summer."

Mini Boom, born Jordan Douglas, has been crafting beats since he was a pre-teen. He landed his first major placement on Busta Rhymes' 2020 song "Hey You" featuring Busta's son Trillion off the deluxe version of Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God. He went on to cook up instrumentals for Dave East, The Game and others. He also dropped his own tracks like "NANA vs DADA" featuring D4M $loane & Lay Bankz, "Bag On Em" with Fivio Foreign, and "Lets Go" with 2rare & Serena Smart.

The 16-year-old officially blew up in April after Rick Ross used his beat to hit back at Drake amid the Toronto rapper's beef with Kendrick Lamar. Mini Boom recently told iHeart how he and his dad sent a beatpack over to Ross' team in an effort to recruit the MMG bawse for his debut album. Once he heard the piano-laced instrumental, Ross instantly loved it and decided to use it for "Champagne Moments."

"It was just a really just a exciting moment for me when I found out that night," Mini Boom recalled. "The following weeks were just crazy seeing it everywhere, seeing reaction videos of people listening to it, people that I actually watch on YouTube and stuff like that, reacting to the song and just crazy to experience."

In the weeks after "Champagne Moments" rocked the world, Mini Boom has been spotted in the studio working with other prominent rap stars like Chow Lee and Cash Cobain. While he works on his next major body of work, stream Mini Boom's fresh album Detonate below.
