Netflix Releases First Teaser For The Drake-Produced 'Top Boy' Series

For years,Drake has been teasing his involvement in the popular British show Top Boy. New episodes of the Drake-produced, Ronan Bennett-created crime drama are officially headed to Netflix.

The streaming giant released a "Cast Announcement" video on April 2. Ashley "Asher D" Walters, Kane "Kano" Robinson, Simbi "Little Simz" Ajikawo, David "Dave" Omoregie, Micheal Ward, and Shone Romulus will appear on the program.

Top Boy is being executive produced by the original creative team of Ronan Bennett, Charles Steel, Alasdair Flind, and Yann Demange. In addition, the new installment will be executive produced by Aubrey Drake Graham and his business partner Adel “Future” Nur, along with Maverick Carter and Jamal Henderson for Spring Hill Entertainment.

“I am delighted to be reunited once more with the Top Boyteam - our wonderful cast and my partners at Cowboy Films - and to have Drake and SpringHill as new collaborators. And I could not be prouder to be doing the show with Netflix," stated Bennett.
