Jack Harlow is on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the third week!
โFirst Classโ stays on top after the single made a No. 1 debut, and is at the top of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts for the fifth week in a row.
The top 10 also features singles from Kendrick Lamarโs Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. The highest position is โN95,โ which debuted at No. 3 followed by โDie Hard,โ with Blxst and Amanda Reifer, at No. 5, โSilent Hillโ with Kodak Black at No. 7, and โUnited in Griefโ at No. 8.
The No. 4 slot is Futureโs โWAIT FOR Uโ featuring Drake and Tems.
Jack Harlowโs โFirst Classโ is the second chart-topper for Harlow, with his first being โIndustry Babyโ alongside Lil Nas X. โFirst Class,โ samples Fergieโs 2007 No. 1 hit โGlamorous,โ and is found on Harlowโs second album, Comes Home the Kids Miss You.
Jack Harlow's first single was โNail Techโ
โItโs probably my least favorite song on the album. But I know the effect itโs gonna have on people. Iโm spitting, and thereโs energy behind the beat.. I have different tastes. I canโt believe people love to listen to โTyler Herroโ on repeat and โWhatโs Poppinโ on repeat.โ
With the new album, Harlow wanted to solidify himself as the face of his generation.
โThatโs what made Em so hard โ he was in the dog pile,โ says Harlow. โI want to be the face of my shit, like the face of my generation, for these next 10 years. We need more people in my generation that are trying to be the best, and you canโt do that with just ear candy, vibe records. You got to come out swinging sometimes. . . . My new shit is much more serious. Right now, my message is letting muthafuckers know I love hip-hop, and Iโm one of the best in my generation. You canโt do that with nonchalant, like, โEeey, I got the bitches,โ in clever ways over and over again. I got to dig deeper this time.โ
