During his guest appearance on "Drink Champs," Murder Inc. founder Irv Gotti called Drake the "Eminem of today."
Never one to bite his tongue, Gotti has always spoken his mind about many different topics and many different people in the music industry. Sometimes, his opinions are respected and agreed with. But, other times, his mouth lands him in a world of trouble. His recent interview on "Drink Champs" now has some people raising their eyebrows.
While speaking to N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, Gotti said that if Drake was around in the late 1990s, early 2000s' he would be selling way more albums than he's selling right now. Gotti even repeatedly called Drizzy a "genius."
"If Drake was in my era, Drake would be selling 15 million, 20 million a clip," Gotti explained. "Do you realize this? So right now, he sells three, four. If he was in my era, he'd be selling 15, 20. I know this, so I'm like, once he does something outside the music genre, he's gonna see how colossal he is. That n**ga's colossal. He's a genius. That motherf**ker's a genius, okay? Drizzy for sure is a genius, yo. He's, dare I say, our Eminem of today... he's f**king Eminem."
