I am not gonna lie to you. I went through so many emotions while watching this movie. The content is so relevant for the climate of what's happening today. The movie is about a black, female cop who has to choose between her blue family (cops) or her black family (race). I think this is a very real struggle for many cops that are both black and blue; especially if the "blue" family is breaking laws & being corrupt within the system. It also brings to light the necessity of the body cams that police wear.
The director, who is black, Deon Taylor, during the movie premiere stressed how important movies like this are for our culture and if they are not supported, directors, like himself, will no longer be able to make movies like this, which is so true.
I urge you. If you have not seen this movie yet, PLEASE go and see it. Go support this film. You will not be disappointed. It is action-packed and eye-opening.
Check back soon because I have more interview coming with Mike Colter, Nafessa Williams, and Frank Grillo, who all starred in the movie as well.
