36-year-old Nathan Sutherland, a licensed nurse at the Hacienda HealthCare facility, is accused of sexually abusing and impregnating a 29-year-old who has been in a vegetative state since childhood. Her pregnancy was unknown by employees at the facility until she gave birth to a baby boy last month.
Investigators collected DNA samples from a number of male employees and were able to match Sutherland's to the baby. Police have charged Sutherland with sexual assault and vulnerable adult abuse. (KNXV-TV)
