TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
- Hurricane season doesn't end until November 30th, so this still may not be the last of the storms.
- It seems the Gulf Coast is watching a storm every week.
- Everyone's going to know the Greek alphabet very well after this season.
Another tropical system is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm and then possibly a hurricane that could threaten the Gulf Coast this weekend.
The storm, which will be named Delta, is currently located near the Cayman Islands and will likely become a hurricane tomorrow near Cuba. It will be the 25th named storm in the Atlantic hurricane season, which is double the average of a typical season. It's early projected path shows it slamming the Louisiana coast as a category 2 hurricane on Saturday. (USA Today)
