Get better at your golf game. Right now, good golfers are sought after in finance, consulting, sales and other industries, recruiters say. That’s because in the era of remote and hybrid work, business on the golf course is back. Executive recruiter Shawn Cole says he gets so many requests to find great golfers that he puts candidates’ handicaps in the info packets he submits to clients. Golf alone can’t get you a great job, he says. But not playing golf can hurt you.
“I know a guy that literally flies around the world in a private jet loaded with French wine, and he golfs and lands hundred-million-dollar deals,” Cole says.
