Authorities in Florida are investigating a JetBlue flight that arrived at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Monday night with two dead bodies in the landing gear.
JetBlue says the the flight came from New York's JFK International Airport and the bodies were discovered during a routine inspection of the plane. The airline said in a statement, "The circumstances surrounding how they accessed the aircraft remain under investigation. This is a heartbreaking situation, and we are committed to working closely with authorities to support their efforts to understand how this occurred."
The wheel well of a plane is not pressurized and is exposed to sub-freezing temperatures, making it nearly impossible for someone to survive a flight. (NBC4 New York)
